Located at the crossroads of
Europe, Asia and Africa, the
Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is
strategically located in the
heart of the Middle East. The
Kingdom was established in 1932
by Abd-al-Aziz bin Abd-al-Rahman
al Saud. The current ruler is
King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a
market of high stakes, with
investments and expenditure
shooting to previously-unknown
levels. Saudi Arabia’s dominance
over the international crude oil
markets is widely known, and as
such it has gained the
responsibility of balancing
international oil demand and
supply and often influences oil
prices, ensuring economic
stability in the industrialized
world. The country is the
founding member of the Gulf
Cooperation Council – built to
strengthen interaction between
neighboring countries in the
region. It is also a member of
the Organization of Petroleum
Exporting Countries, League of
Arab States and Organization of
the Islamic Conference.
